Priorities
A clear plan for the Cupertino Union School District's next chapter, built on six commitments.
- 01
Students First
Student achievement is the board’s core mission. Every policy, every budget line, every decision should be measured against a single question: does this help our students learn? That means protecting instructional programs, supporting the whole child, and ensuring success for every student, not just some.
- 02
Financial Stability
The district faces real fiscal pressures, from enrollment shifts to state funding uncertainty. With two decades of engineering leadership experience, Satheesh brings practical budget discipline to the board: prioritizing the classroom, planning for the long term, and being honest with the community about trade-offs.
- 03
Community Engagement
Schools succeed when educators, parents, and communities collaborate. As a PTA leader since 2005, Satheesh has spent years building exactly those partnerships, and as a trustee he works to keep families genuinely involved in district decisions, not just informed after the fact.
- 04
Transparency in Governance
Trust is earned through openness. Board decisions should be made in the open, explained clearly, and grounded in data the community can see. Families deserve to know not just what the board decided, but why.
- 05
Effective Communication
Clear, timely, two-way communication between the district, its schools, and families, in the languages our community speaks and through the channels families actually use.
- 06
Staff Development
Great schools are built by great educators. Investing in teacher and staff development, and creating a district culture where educators want to stay and grow, directly benefits every student in every classroom.
