Meet Satheesh Madhathil
CUSD Board President, Community Volunteer, PTA Leader, Engineering Leader
I am President of CUSD Board and have been on the Board since 2018. I have been an active community volunteer and a PTA leader over 15 years in Cupertino Union School District.
Since 2005, I worked with CUSD schools in various leadership roles including PTA and School Site Council. I’m part of multiple nonprofit organizations including AYSO Cupertino Region, which focuses on youth Soccer programs.
As a passionate community volunteer and a parent leader, my focus would be on student achievement and implementing policies that will ensure success for all students. I'm looking forward to your support and to continue my service to CUSD and the community to make it the best.
Why Me?
Education to me is the most important tool that impacts country’s success. Witnessing my son and daughter going through CUSD Elementary and middle schools, I strongly believe that Schools succeed when educators, parents, and communities collaborate.
I have been an Engineering leader working in Silicon Valley companies for over two decades. Being an active volunteer and PTA leader, I have been closely associated with CUSD schools and community since 2005. I was elected to CUSD Board in 2018 and currently serving as the President of CUSD Board.
I have assumed various volunteer leadership roles in CUSD/FUHSD schools over a decade including School Site Council President and PTA president of Faria Elementary School, EVP of Kennedy Middle School PTA , Monta Vista High School PTA President, EVP of Cupertino Fremont Sunnyvale Council PTA and Executive Board member of California 6th District PTA
In addition, an advocate of healthy lifestyle for all ages, I am serving as the Regional Commissioner of American Youth Soccer Organization, Cupertino Region - a non-profit national organization with focus on delivering quality youth Soccer programs.
